October 1: Exhibition opening at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, "Master Pueblo Painters, 1900-1930". 66 paintings give a very realistic look at Pueblo ceremonial life during the period. 505-476-1250.

October 6-22: The Santa Fe Jazz Festival presents a Who's Who of contemporary jazz musicians in 34 ensemble concerts at the James A. Little Theater. Confirmed to perform are Marc Copland, Eddie Daniels, Bruce Dunlap, Gary Burton, Bill Frisell trio, Jai Uttal, Simon Shaheen, Dave Holland, Wayne Krantz, Herbie Mann, and many more.
